¿Por qué muchos mecánicos ponen un poco de saliva en las válvulas de los neumáticos recién inflados antes de ponerles el tapón?

¿Lo hacen como medida de comprobación de que la válvula no pierde aire?

¿Acaso la saliva refuerza el sellado del tapón?

¿Tiene algún otro sentido?

Yo creo que es más por lo primero que por lo segundo, pero tal vez no sea así.

Pues la respuesta logica es la primera , pero vamos, que tengo de mecanico las practicas en la bici de montaña, y si cuenta , el destripar el ordenador para limpiarlo ("y luego darme cuenta que tengo el manual de montaje en pdf" ). :roll:
