Asunto:	PIXAR y Edgar Rice Burroughs
Pixar ha confirmado sus intenciones de realizar tres películas basadas en los relatos de ciencia ficción sobre JOHN CARTER WARLORD OF MARS, cuyo autor fue el incombustible Edgar Rice Burroughs. La intención es hacer una trilogía hecha por ordenador, y estrenar la primera película en el 2012. Los relatos de Burroughs siguen a un militar llamado John Carter que es transportado repentinamente a un planeta rojo lleno de monstruos plantíferos, castillos y nenas buenorras (¿quién decía que en Marte no había vida?). Desde luego, me intriga bastante ver como los maestros de Pixar llevan al celuloide con su estilo estos relatos tan alejados de sus típicas historias.

¿Van a hacer una peli de John Carter? Ay, no sé... por un lado me apetece, pero por otro... la gracia de esos libros está justo en su encantador toque anticuado, al estilo de la época, con su machismo, su especisismo (porque no es racismo, los marcianos son de otra especie), y sus patadas a la ciencia (ese viaje que es astral pero no es astral...). No sé si un lavado de cara y una remozada les quitaría el encanto.
